Our mission is to host a platform for small businesses, unsung heroes, and local charities to bring awareness to their stories, purposes, and goals. There are many reasons our residents love Cookeville, and we hope to highlight them all, one story at a time.

If you were born and raised in Cookeville, or just relocating to the area, our publication can connect you with what makes this city special.

To date we have featured the Cookeville natives Judah Akers and the Froning family on covers, two “Most Influential People” editions, a look on Putnam County’s “Fairest of the Fair Through the Years,” and two “Movers & Shakers” issues.

Meet our Founder

Chelsea Dartez made the move to Nashville, Tennessee from Texas after being accepted into the prominent music business program at Belmont University. While at Belmont, she worked at several of Nashville’s notorious music industry companies such as The Grand Ole Opry, Warner Music Group, Nashville Songwriters Association International and Turner and Nichols  and Associates (Rascal Flatts). She began working in Public Relations full-time as a senior at Belmont where she quickly found her strength in the music business.Through her large network of Nashville music industry contacts she co-founded C2 Media Relations in 2012. From red carpets to media junkets to radio tours to landing clients on the TODAY show, Chelsea has worked closely with the media her entire career. Notable clients include Rascal Flatts, Chase Rice, Easton Corbin, Lonestar, Lynn Anderson, the Oak Ridge Boys, Dailey & Vincent, Jake Hoot, Clay Walker, and many more.

In 2016, Chelsea moved to Cookeville from Nashville while still commuting for her work in the music industry. After having her second child in 2021, she decided to make a change to be closer to home. Late 2021, Chelsea noticed a void in the Cookeville media scene. There was not a regular lifestyle publication that catered to a younger demo while still embracing the core values of the city. With her expertise in digital marketing, media, branding, PR and management, she founded Cookeville Lifestyle Magazine.
