Fire & Vine Raises the Bar—Literally
“As a business owner, you recognize the desires of your customers, and you have to be willing to invest in the long-term vision.”
— Barry Reese, Owner
On Cookeville’s WestSide, Fire & Vine continues to redefine what elevated dining looks like—this time by quite literally raising the roof.
Known for its thoughtfully curated menu, signature cocktails, and sweeping rooftop views, Fire & Vine has recently completed a major louvered roof renovation, transforming its rooftop into a space that can be enjoyed year-round, no matter the weather. The investment ensures that guests can experience the restaurant’s signature atmosphere in every season, without compromise.
A Rooftop Designed for Every Season
Guest comfort was at the forefront of the renovation. The upgraded rooftop now features fans for warm summer evenings and a heated floor system for cooler nights, creating an inviting environment whether patrons are sipping wine at sunset in July or enjoying a bourbon beneath December stars.
The state-of-the-art louvered roof opens and closes at the touch of a button, allowing the space to adapt seamlessly to Tennessee’s ever-changing weather. In addition to protection from the elements, the renovation expanded seating capacity—offering more room to relax, dine, and take in the only WestSide rooftop dining views in Cookeville.
“This increases the amount of time we can serve guests on the rooftop,” Reese explains. “It’s about comfort, atmosphere, and making sure our guests have an elevated experience no matter when they visit.”
More Than a Meal—An Experience
Fire & Vine has long positioned itself as more than just a place to eat. Whether guests are celebrating a milestone, hosting out-of-town visitors, or unwinding after a long day, the experience is designed to feel special. Premium wines, craft cocktails, and signature dishes are intentionally paired with the ambiance of the space, ensuring that every visit feels worth savoring.
From the drink menu to the floor plan, each detail has been carefully considered—giving diners a reason to linger, connect, and celebrate.
Investing in Cookeville
For Reese, reinvesting in Fire & Vine is about far more than the restaurant itself.
“Investing in Cookeville is the biggest reason Fire & Vine was created,” he says. “Seeing the impact this place has on the community, our employees, and the WestSide in particular is the greatest motivation to continue improving our establishment.”
That commitment is reflected in Fire & Vine’s role as a local employer and community anchor. The restaurant staffs 25 to 30 team members per shift, operating ten shifts per week. It is the only family-owned and operated downtown Cookeville restaurant offering rooftop dining, along with three days of brunch service, and it remains open seven nights a week.
Strengthening the WestSide Story
The rooftop renovation represents more than a physical upgrade—it signals continued momentum for WestSide Cookeville. As the district grows into a destination for dining, shopping, and events, flagship businesses like Fire & Vine are helping shape its identity and future.
By pairing elevated dining with a deep investment in people and place, this family-run restaurant is building a lasting legacy—one that firmly establishes Fire & Vine as a cornerstone of Cookeville’s WestSide story.
