The Biz Foundry to Host 4th Annual Made Here Market
Regional Entrepreneur Center to Host Market Showcasing Local Makers
On April 29th, 2023 The Biz Foundry – the Upper Cumberland’s 501(c) 3, not-for-profit Entrepreneur Center based in Cookeville, will host their 4th Annual Made Here Market on Cedar Ave from 9:00AM to 3:00PM. This street festival style event will showcase the talented makers, artists, food vendors and musicians of the Upper Cumberland region.
“Made Here Market is the only market that exclusively features handcrafted wares in our region”, states Tiffany Anton, VP of The Biz Foundry. “Because our event is truly makers only, our vendors get a unique opportunity to showcase their talent without competing with goods that are sourced elsewhere,” Anton continues.
This is one of the most profitable events in the Upper Cumberland for local makers. Year after year featured vendors report record sales at the Made Here Market compared to other local opportunities. In fact despite the less than ideal weather last year, the event was a huge success. There was massive support for the community and the majority of makers reported huge increases in their sales from years past. “We believe our growing vendor list each year illustrates how successful this event is for local makers. This year will be our biggest showing yet with over 70 vendors,” states Anton.
Along with local makers, you can find multiple food vendors and local musicians. The event is slated to host Caleb & Leann, My Heart Your Heart and Cumberland Kinnection. You can wander through the event starting at 9am on April 29th down Cedar Ave. Be sure to bring your appetizer, dancing shoes, money to make lots of purchases, and sunscreen/umbrella (the event is rain or shine).
The Biz Foundry’s 2023 Made Here Market is sponsored by Stonecom, Cumberland Area Investment Corporation, Cookeville Regional Medical Center, and Eye Centers of Tennessee. With the generous support of sponsors and the work of The Biz Foundry Staff the event hopes to create a full day that celebrates the talent, ingenuity and artistry of makers in the Upper Cumberland and provides them with an opportunity to boost their exposure and sales.
